About David

David Phillip has over 21 years of tax and accounting experience providing high quality. proactive and personalized service to a wide variety of clients ranging from individuals to small and mid-size companies in various industries. David’s background in both public accounting and private industry gives him a unique perspective into the financial, tax and business needs of owners.

David began his career in the San Antonio office of Price Waterhouse where he rose to the rank of tax manager. He was responsible for all aspects of client service for clients ranging from Fortune 500 companies to small businesses to high wealth individuals. While there, he won numerous awards for outstanding client service. David then joined the tax department of Ultramar Diamond Shamrock, an international independent refining and marketing company, where he led the tax accounting and planning group. After helping the company through numerous mergers and acquisitions, he decided to open his own tax and accounting practice in beautiful downtown Boerne.

David graduated from Boerne High School in 1984 and was a 1988 graduate of Southwest Texas State University with a major in accounting. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants Tax Section, Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants, and the San Antonio Chapter of the TSCPA. He currently serves as treasurer of The Cibolo Conservancy and the United Way of Kendall County. He is a member of St. Helena’s Episcopal Church, Boerne Chamber of Commerce and the Kendall County Economic Development Corporation. He is a graduate of the Boerne Chamber of Commerce Leadership program in 2004.

He and his wife Kerry have two beautiful children, Abigail who is 10 years old and Benjamin who is 8 years old. His hobbies include golf, basketball, running, history, and spending time with his family.
